American Wine Project, a midwestern start-up winery – creating high-end wines rivaling those of the California wine industry using varietals sourced from less traditional US regions – turned to Shine to develop an identity to match such a bold and worthy ambition. Shine delivered with a logo, packaging and merchandise with shelf appeal driven by a sense of intrigue.

Built on found art, the bottle labels utilize public domain artwork that captures the personality, style and flavors of each wine. From Robert Havell's “American Flamingo” to Frank Parson’s “Color Spectrum,” the images harmonize with each wine to draw the viewer in and encourage them to learn more about these unique varietals.
