Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Hires Shine United for New Brand Work

RMEF to Update its Brand to Attract Next Generation of Conservationists

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) has hired Shine United to tackle its new branding initiative. Founded in 1984, RMEF is a not-for-profit conservation organization that seeks to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and the American hunting heritage.

"As a member and someone who has worked with RMEF for many years, it is great to know Shine can help this organization attract new members and increase awareness for the importance of wildlife and habitat conservation. This opportunity is extremely fulfilling for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and I am no exception," said Chris Sprangers, Shine’s Director of Outdoor Brands.

Shine United, a full-service advertising agency based in Madison, Wisconsin, will be responsible for providing the brand with a refreshed look and feel via an updated logo and identity. As part of the contract, Shine will also perform a digital audit to ensure this new branding is reflected across RMEF’s digital properties, with a redesigned website expected to launch later this year. The ultimate goal of these projects is to provide the organization with a mission-based platform that will aid efforts to continuously attract new membership, thereby ensuring the long-term success of the foundation’s conservation efforts.

"Our mission to conserve elk habitat, open and improve public access, and protect the future of elk hunting really aligns with Shine’s interests in these fields, and we’re excited to partner with them on this refresh," said Steve Decker, Vice President of Marketing at RMEF.

"We couldn’t be more proud of our relationship with Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. As an outdoor brand agency chock-full of hunters and conservationists, Shine understands the importance of RMEF’s mission of conserving public lands and animal habitats," said Mike Kriefski, Shine United’s President and Executive Creative Director.
